Hi, I’m Sofia. I’m a portrait and wedding photographer based in Nagoya, right in the heart of Japan. I’m endlessly drawn to deep reds, rich contrast, and golden warmth - tones that mirror the intensity of love, the beauty of vulnerability, the strength in quiet moments, and everything in between. My work blends candid emotion with thoughtfully posed portraits, creating imagery that feels both honest and artful.

I’m also one of the few photographers in Japan who shoots both digital and film. I truly believe film has a magic of its own - it slows everything down, adds depth, and often brings out some of the most timeless, beautiful images.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and what began as a passion turned into my first commisioned job in 2014. More than ten years later, I still feel the same joy every time I pick up my camera. I’ve had the honor of capturing stories for couples, families, and individuals from around the world, and nothing makes me happier than preserving those fleeting moments for you to relive for a lifetime.

I’m a third-culture kid at heart, 100% Pakistani, born in Birmingham, raised in Hong Kong and the UAE, and now rooted in Japan. Travel has shaped me, and it continues to inspire the way I see and capture the world.

When you invite me to be your photographer, you’ll get more than beautiful images—you’ll get someone who will connect with you, ease your nerves, and create space for you to be fully yourself. The result? Photographs that reflect not just how you looked, but how you felt.

If my approach resonates with you, I’d love to hear your story and capture the moments that matter most.
